Volunteers for Common Ground in the city of New Orleans on November 23, 2005. Common Ground is a grass roots organization that set up shop in New Orleans almost immediately in the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina, outpacing much of the official government response in handing out vital needs and services to displaced people.
