Big Freedia, from New Orleans, is a main figure in the "Sissy Bounce" music scene.  "Sissy Bounce" is a subset of "Bounce", a type of rap music that originated in New Orleans in the early 1990s.  Bounce is distinctive in its quick, highly danceable beat, frequent call and response, and typically sexual lyrics.  "Sissy bounce" is distinctive not in any musical way from "bounce" but in the performers who are homosexual men.
