The Golden Arm Series was created by the New York Arm Wrestling Association in 1977. The series consists of 10 tournaments held throughout the year in different venues scattered throughout the 5 boroughs of New York City. Different weight, age, and gender classes apply in each tournament, with open audience participation encouraged. The series culminates in an invite only Empire State Champions tournament, where coveted belts and bragging rights for the year are won.
