For every generation of young Americans, in particular young girls, there comes a time when most can agree on the most coveted teen idol. He or she is the one to be most desired, emulated, and, at times, obsessed over. With the advent of the internet, innumerable media outlets, more aggressive and clever advertisers, and the ability to instantly communicate across the country to relay all of this information, the process of idol making can be sped up a great deal. Conversely, the idol may be discarded just as fast. At that particular moment, however, the devotees could not be any more sincere in the feelings, nor could their fidelity be any truer as their object of affection wears the crown of teen idol.
