"I think that direct action is the most effective way to conceive change and it's inspiring  to be here to feel as if you're a part of something so large.  The cause is diverse and I think that's the genius of it, that it's all inclusive.  The way its being defined is by not being something else-  we're not the 1%, we're not the corporations, we're not the greed so that way you can include everybody.  <br />

There's a lot different reasons why people are here and ways that things can be changed but I think the fact that we're using this system- its not necessarily democracy- of a dencentralized power and effecting change with consensus based decisions is extremely important to me and in practice I think it's the best method. <br />

Democracy is such a tainted word now.  The concept of democracy is everyone being able to decide what governs them and everyone having an impact and an input and it being heard.  And that theory alone is great and its hard to argue against that but I think its clear to be seen that implementing that and continuing that is simply unsustainable and unsuccessful.  I think the fact that people are recognizing a different way of making decisions is powerful in and of itself."
